Focus on Strength, Stability and Core Stabilization

When developing a dryland exercise program to complement your work in the pool, exercises should be as specific as possible to meet the demands of swimming. An effective dryland program should focus on three key points: strength, stability and core stabilization. A stable and properly positioned body will allow you to swim in a straight line and with greater efficiency in the water.
