The Neoprene Debate Resurfaces in USMS Waters

This September, delegates to the USMS Convention will debate whether to give swimmers in wetsuits full competitive status in open water national championships. Purists have already begun to object, but some say wetsuits could enhance Masters swimming.

10K Swimmers to Compete in Olympic Paddling Venue

The 10K Swimming Marathon will make its debut at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Open water swimmers will attempt to stroke their way to gold in four strenuous laps around the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park. The success of this event could determine the future of long distance swimming in the Olympics.
